Peacemaking Sunday

Once a year, in line with the United Nations International Day of Peace, christian churches around the world are encouraged to pray and act for peace. We have provided resources to enable churches in the UK to reflect upon not just an absence of war, but what peace may mean today.

This is the official blog of the Joint Public Issues Team - which is made up of staff from the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church.

The Joint Public Issues Team exists to enable our three churches to work together in living out the gospel of Christ in the church and in society. We aim to promote equality and justice by influencing those in power and by energising and affirming local congregations.

We want to share more of our work and some of the issues we cover with a wider audience and provide a forum for people to offer feedback and express their opinions.
