Praying with the people of Jesusalem

I think it is great when we have the opportunity to be creative in a group! Each year, the World Council of Churches (WCC), asks each country to alert Christians to the World Week for Prayer for Palestine-Israel. So, we put our heads together - (one Friend, one URC member, one Roman Catholic and a Baptist) - to design the leaflet, which encourages churches to join in the week, 29th May to 4th June 2011.

The theme next June will be 'Jerusalem', so we are busy gathering comments from Christians living and working in the City, asking them, "What has happened recently which prevents you from living and worshipping freely in Jerusalem?" Their answers will appear on the leaflet, which will be available on the Joint Public Issues Team website next March, together with a prayer, suggested actions and websites for resourcing meetings and services. We hope that many churches will make this week an annual event on their calendar. The UK leaflet will also appear on the WCC website.
